ولما رجع شاول من وراء الفلسطينيين اخبروه قائلين هوذا داود في برية عين جدي.

I stalo se, že když se navrátil Saul od honění Filistinských, oznámili jemu, řkouce: Hle, David jest na poušti Engadi.

Og David drog op derfra og blev udi Befæstningerne i Engedi.

Und David zog von dannen hinauf und blieb auf den Bergfesten von Engedi.

(H24:2) Und es geschah, als Saul von der Verfolgung der Philister zurückgekehrt war, da berichtete man ihm und sprach: Siehe, David ist in der Wüste Engedi.

David zog dann von dort hinweg und setzte sich auf den Berghöhen von Engedi fest.

(H24-2) Als nun Saul von den Philistern zurückkehrte, wurde ihm angezeigt:

24-2 24-2 Και αφου επεστρεψεν ο Σαουλ απο οπισθεν των Φιλισταιων, ανηγγειλαν προς αυτον, λεγοντες, Ιδου, ο Δαβιδ ειναι εν τη ερημω Εν-γαδδι.

Και αφού επέστρεψεν ο Σαούλ από όπισθεν των Φιλισταίων, ανήγγειλαν προς αυτόν, λέγοντες, Ιδού, ο Δαβίδ είναι εν τη ερήμω Εν-γαδδί.

And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of En-gedi.

Now when Saul came back from fighting the Philistines, news was given him that David was in the waste land of En-gedi.

Then David ascended from there, and he lived in very secure places in Engedi.

Da Saul kom tilbake efterat han hadde forfulgt filistrene, fikk han spurt at David var i En-Gedis ørken.

A tak wyciągnął stamtąd Dawid, i mieszkał na miejscach obronnych Engaddy.

(24:2) Khi Sau-lơ đuổi theo Phi-li-tin trở về rồi, có người đến nói cùng Sau-lơ rằng: Kìa, Ða-vít ở trong đồng vắng Eân-ghê-đi.

掃 羅 追 趕 非 利 士 人 回 來 ， 有 人 告 訴 他 說 ： 大 衛 在 隱 基 底 的 曠 野 。

大衛在隱．基底不傷掃羅掃羅追趕非利士人回來的時候，有人告訴他說：“看哪，大衛在隱．基底的曠野。”（本節在《馬索拉抄本》為24:2）
