فاخذ صموئيل قنينة الدهن وصبّ على راسه وقبّله وقال أليس لان الرب قد مسحك على ميراثه رئيسا.

Tedy vzal Samuel nádobku oleje, a vylil na hlavu jeho, a políbil ho, i řekl: Aj, teď pomazal tě Hospodin nad dědictvím svým za vůdce.

Da ergriff Samuel die Ölflasche und goß sie über sein Haupt aus; sodann küßte er ihn und sprach: Damit hat dich Jahwe zum Fürsten über sein Volk Israel gesalbt. Du sollst über das Volk Jahwes herrschen und sollst es aus der Gewalt seiner Feinde befreien. Und dies mag dir als Zeichen dafür dienen, daß dich Jahwe zum Fürsten über sein Erbe gesalbt hat:

Τοτε ελαβεν ο Σαμουηλ την φιαλην του ελαιου, και εχυσεν επι την κεφαλην αυτου, και εφιλησεν αυτον και ειπε, Δεν σε εχρισε Κυριος αρχοντα επι της κληρονομιας αυτου;

Τότε έλαβεν ο Σαμουήλ την φιάλην του ελαίου, και έχυσεν επί την κεφαλήν αυτού, και εφίλησεν αυτόν και είπε, Δεν σε έχρισε Κύριος άρχοντα επί της κληρονομίας αυτού;

Then Samuel took the vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not that Jehovah hath anointed thee to be prince over his inheritance?

Then Samuel took the bottle of oil, and put the oil on his head and gave him a kiss and said, Is not the Lord with the holy oil making you ruler over Israel, his people? and you will have authority over the people of the Lord, and you will make them safe from the hands of their attackers round about them, and this will be the sign for you:

Then Samuel took a little vial of oil, and poured it on his head. And he kissed him, and said: “Behold, the Lord has anointed you as first ruler over his inheritance. And you shall free his people from the hands of their enemies, who are all around them. And this shall be a sign for you that God has anointed you as ruler:

Then Samuel took the vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because Jehovah has anointed thee prince over his inheritance?

撒母耳膏立掃羅為王撒母耳拿了一瓶膏油，倒在掃羅的頭上，又與他親嘴，說：“耶和華不是已經膏立你作他產業的領袖嗎？
