Και ειπα προς αυτους, Ημεις κατα την δυναμιν ημων εξηγορασαμεν τους αδελφους ημων Ιουδαιους, τους πωληθεντας εις τα εθνη· και σεις αυτοι θελετε πωλησει τους αδελφους σας; η θελουσι πωληθη εις ημας; Εκεινοι δε εσιωπων και δεν ευρηκαν αποκρισιν.

Και είπα προς αυτούς, Ημείς κατά την δύναμιν ημών εξηγοράσαμεν τους αδελφούς ημών Ιουδαίους, τους πωληθέντας εις τα έθνη· και σεις αυτοί θέλετε πωλήσει τους αδελφούς σας; ή θέλουσι πωληθή εις ημάς; Εκείνοι δε εσιώπων και δεν εύρηκαν απόκρισιν.

And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, that were sold unto the nations; and would ye even sell your brethren, and should they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found never a word.

And I said to them, We have given whatever we were able to give, to make our brothers the Jews free, who were servants and prisoners of the nations: and would you now give up your brothers for a price, and are they to become our property? Then they said nothing, answering not a word.

And I said to them: “As you know, in accord with what was possible for us, we have redeemed our brothers, the Jews, who had been sold to the Gentiles. And yet you now sell your brothers, and we must redeem them?” And they were silent, nor did they find anything to answer.

And I said to them, We, according to our ability, have redeemed our brethren the Jews, who were sold to the nations; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? And they were silent and found no answer.

And I said to them: We, as you know, have redeemed according to our ability our brethren the Jews, that were sold to the Gentiles: and will you then sell your brethren, for us to redeem them? And they held their peace, and found not what to answer.

And I said vnto them, We (according to our abilitie) haue redeemed our brethren the Iewes, which were solde vnto the heathen: and will you sell your brethren againe, or shall they be solde vnto vs? Then helde they their peace, and could not answere.

Kaj mi diris al ili:Ni elacxetis niajn fratojn, la Judojn, kiuj estis venditaj al la nacioj, kiom ni povis; dume vi volas vendi viajn fratojn, kaj ili estas vendataj al ni! Ili silentis kaj trovis nenion por respondi.

y les dije: “Nosotros según nuestras facultades hemos rescatado a nuestros hermanos judíos, que habían sido vendidos a los paganos; ¿y vosotros queréis ahora vender a vuestros hermanos, después de rescatados por nosotros?” Ellos callaron, no hallando qué responder.

Og jeg sa til dem: Vi har, så vidt vi kunde, løskjøpt våre jødiske brødre som var solgt til hedningene, og så vil I selge eders brødre, og de må selge sig til oss! Da tidde de og fant ikke et ord til svar.

Och jag sade till dem: »Vi hava efter förmåga friköpt våra judiska bröder som voro sålda åt hedningarna. Skolen nu I sälja edra bröder? Skola de behöva sälja sig åt oss?» Då tego de och hade intet att svara.

“Biz yabancılara satılan Yahudi kardeşlerimizi elimizden geldiğince geri almaya çalışırken siz kardeşlerinizi satıyorsunuz. Yine bize satılsınlar diye mi?” Sustular, söyleyecek söz bulamadılar.

我 對 他 們 說 ： 我 們 盡 力 贖 回 我 們 弟 兄 ， 就 是 賣 與 外 邦 的 猶 大 人 ； 你 們 還 要 賣 弟 兄 ， 使 我 們 贖 回 來 麼 ？ 他 們 就 靜 默 不 語 ， 無 話 可 答 。

我對他們說：“我們已盡了我們的能力，把那些賣了給外族人的同胞猶大人買贖回來，而你們還想要出賣你們的同胞，好讓我們再把他們買回來嗎？”他們都默不作聲，無話可說。
