فقال ابشالوم ليوآب هانذا قد ارسلت اليك قائلا تعال الى هنا فارسلك الى الملك تقول لماذا جئت من جشور. خير لي لو كنت باقيا هناك. فالآن اني ارى وجه الملك وان وجد فيّ اثم فليقتلني.

Odpověděl Absolon Joábovi: Aj, poslal jsem k tobě, řka: Přiď sem, a pošli tě k králi, abys řekl jemu: I proč jsem přišel z Gessur? Lépe mi bylo ještě tam zůstati. Protož nyní nechať uzřím tvář královu. Pakliť jest na mně nepravost, nechť mne rozkáže zabiti.

Og Absalom sagde til Joab: Se, jeg sendte Bud til dig og lod sige: Kom hid, at jeg kan sende dig til Kongen og lade sige: Hvorfor er jeg kommen fra Gesur? det var mig godt, at jeg var der endnu; saa lad mig nu se Kongens Ansigt, men er der en Misgerning hos mig, da slaa han mig ihjel.

Absalom sprach zu Joab: Siehe, ich sandte nach dir und ließ dir sagen: «Komm her, daß ich dich zum König sende und sagen lasse: Warum bin ich von Geschur gekommen? Es wäre mir besser, daß ich noch daselbst wäre!» So verschaffe nun, daß ich das Angesicht des Königs sehen darf!

Absalom erwiderte Joab: Ich habe ja nach dir geschickt und dir sagen lassen: Komme her, ich möchte dich zum Könige senden mit der Botschaft: Wozu bin ich von Gesur heimgekommen? Es wäre mir lieber, ich wäre noch dort - nun aber werde ich dem König unter die Augen treten: liegt eine Schuld auf mir, so mag er mich töten!

Ο δε Αβεσσαλωμ απεκριθη προς τον Ιωαβ, Ιδου, απεστειλα προς σε, λεγων, Ελθε ενταυθα, δια να σε πεμψω προς τον βασιλεα να ειπης, Δια τι ηλθον απο Γεσσουρ; ηθελεν εισθαι καλητερον δι' εμε να ημην ετι εκει· τωρα λοιπον ας ιδω το προσωπον του βασιλεως· και αν ηναι αδικια εν εμοι, ας με θανατωση.

Ο δε Αβεσσαλώμ απεκρίθη προς τον Ιωάβ, Ιδού, απέστειλα προς σε, λέγων, Ελθέ ενταύθα, διά να σε πέμψω προς τον βασιλέα να είπης, Διά τι ήλθον από Γεσσούρ; ήθελεν είσθαι καλήτερον δι' εμέ να ήμην έτι εκεί· τώρα λοιπόν ας ίδω το πρόσωπον του βασιλέως· και αν ήναι αδικία εν εμοί, ας με θανατώση.

And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? it were better for me to be there still. Now therefore let me see the king’s face; and if there be iniquity in me, let him kill me.

And Absalom's answer was, See, I sent to you saying, Come here, so that I may send you to the king to say, Why have I come back from Geshur? it would be better for me to be there still: let me now see the king's face, and if there is any sin in me, let him put me to death.

And Absalom responded to Joab: “I sent to you, begging that you might come to me, and that I might send you to the king, and that you might say to him: ‘Why was I brought from Geshur? It would have been better for me to be there.’ I beg you, therefore, that I may see the face of the king. And if he is mindful of my iniquity, let him put me to death.”

And Absalom said to Joab, Behold, I sent to thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Why am I come from Geshur? it would have been better for me to be there still. And now let me see the king's face; and if there be iniquity in me, let him slay me.

And Absalom answered Joab: I sent to thee beseeching thee to come to me, that I might send thee to the king, to say to him: Wherefore am I come from Gessur? it had been better for me to be there: I beseech thee therefore that I may see the face of the king: and if he be mindful of my iniquity, let him kill me.

And Absalom answered Ioab, Beholde, I sent for thee, saying, Come thou hither, and I wil send thee to the King for to say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? It had bene better for me to haue bene there still: nowe therefore let mee see the Kings face: and if there be any trespasse in me, let him kill me.

And Absalom saith unto Joab, `Lo, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, and I send thee unto the king to say, Why have I come in from Geshur? --good for me while I am there--and now, let me see the king's face, and if there is in me iniquity then thou hast put me to death.'

Contestó Absalón a Joab: “Mira, he enviado por ti para decirte: Ven aquí para que te envíe al rey y le digas: ¿A qué propósito he venido de Gesur? Mejor sería para mí estar todavía allí. Quiero ver ahora el rostro del rey; y si hay en mí culpa quíteme él la vida.”

Y Absalom respondió a Joab: He aquí, yo he enviado por ti, diciendo, que vinieses acá, para que yo te enviase al rey, a que le dijeses: ¿Para qué vine de Gessur? Mejor me fuera estarme aun allá. Vea yo ahora la cara del rey: y si hay en mi pecado, máteme.

Jawab Absalom kepada Yoab: "Ya, aku telah menyuruh orang kepadamu mengatakan: datanglah ke mari, supaya aku mengutus engkau kepada raja untuk mengatakan: apa gunanya aku datang dari Gesur? Lebih baik aku masih tinggal di sana. Maka sekarang, aku mau datang ke hadapan raja. Jika aku bersalah, biarlah ia menghukum aku mati."

Absalom svarte: Jeg sendte jo bud til dig og bad dig komme hit, så jeg kunde sende dig til kongen og si ham fra mig: Hvorfor er jeg kommet hit fra Gesur? Det hadde vært bedre for mig om jeg ennu var der. Og nu vil jeg komme for kongens øine, og er det nogen brøde hos mig, så får han drepe mig.

I odpowiedział Absalom Joabowi: Otom posłał do ciebie, mówiąc: Przyjdź sam, a poślę cię do króla, abyś mówił: Nacóżem przyszedł z Giessur? Lepiej mi było tam jeszcze zostać; przetoż teraz niech oglądam oblicze królewskie; wszak jeźli jest przy mnie nieprawość, niech mię rozkaże zabić.

Respondeu Absalão a Joabe: Eis que enviei a ti, dizendo: Vem cá, para que te envie ao rei, a dizer-lhe: Para que vim de Gesur? Melhor me fora estar ainda lá. Agora, pois, veja eu a face do rei; e, se há em mim alguma culpa, que me mate.

E Absalão respondeu a Joabe: Eis que, eu enviei por ti, dizendo que viesses aqui, a fim de enviar-te eu ao rei a que lhe dissesses: Para que vim de Gesur? Melhor me fora estar ainda lá. Veja eu agora a cara do rei; e se há em mim pecado, mate-me.

Absalom a răspuns lui Ioab: ,,Iată, ţi-am trimes vorbă şi ţi-am zis: ,Vino aici, şi te voi trimete la împărat să -i spui: ,Pentruce m'am întors din Gheşur? Ar fi fost mai bine pentru mine să fiu şi acum acolo. Doresc acum să văd faţa împăratului; şi dacă este vreo nelegiuire în mine, să mă omoare.`

Absalom svarade Joab: »Jag sände ju till dig och lät säga: Kom hit, så att jag kan skicka dig till konungen och låta säga: 'Varför fick jag komma hem från Gesur? Det hade varit bättre för mig, om jag ännu vore kvar där.' Nu vill jag komma inför konungens ansikte; och finnes någon missgärning hos mig, så må han döda mig.

押 沙 龍 回 答 約 押 說 ： 我 打 發 人 去 請 你 來 ， 好 託 你 去 見 王 ， 替 我 說 ： 我 為 何 從 基 述 回 來 呢 ？ 不 如 仍 在 那 裡 。 現 在 要 許 我 見 王 的 面 ； 我 若 有 罪 ， 任 憑 王 殺 我 就 是 了 。
