Rotate PDF Pages

Rotate all or specific pages of a PDF by 90°, 180° or 270° — entirely in your browser, nothing uploaded.

How to use

  1. Choose a PDF file (up to 200 MB) — drop it on the box or click to browse.
  2. Pick the rotation angle (90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counter-clockwise) and whether to rotate all pages or only specific ones.
  3. Click "Rotate PDF" — the rotated file is built in your browser and downloads automatically.

About this tool

A scanned document that came in sideways, a slide deck exported in the wrong orientation, a contract page that was fed into the scanner upside down — rotating a PDF is one of those tasks that should take seconds but often sends people to a website that uploads the file to a stranger's server. This tool does it inside your browser: the PDF is read, the selected pages are rotated, and a new file is saved without anything leaving your device.

The rotation is additive: if a page already carries a 90° rotation in its metadata, adding another 90° results in 180°, not a conflict. You can rotate all pages at once or type specific page numbers and ranges — useful when only the first page of a multi-page scan is sideways. The rest of the document stays untouched.

The file is processed by the pdf-lib library running in JavaScript. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and form fields survive the rotation. The practical limit is your device's memory — the tool caps file size at 200 MB to keep the experience smooth.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The file is read and processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted, stored or logged.

Does rotating affect text, images or form fields?

No. The rotation changes the page's orientation metadata — content is not re-encoded. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and form fields remain editable.

Can I rotate only some pages?

Yes. Switch "Apply to" to "Specific pages" and type the page numbers or ranges — for example 1-3, 5, 8. Pages not listed stay in their current orientation.

What happens if the PDF is password-protected?

The tool cannot open encrypted PDFs. Remove the password in the application that created it, save an unprotected copy and try again.
