Six positions are available — top or bottom, left, center or right — and four formats: just the number, number-slash-total, "Page N" and "Page N of N". You can also choose the font size and which page to start numbering from, so a cover page can remain unnumbered.
The numbers are drawn as text on each page using the Helvetica font. The original content is not modified — page numbers are added on top. The file is processed by the pdf-lib library running in JavaScript, entirely on your device.
