This tool does it inside your browser: you provide the password, the file is decrypted locally, and an unprotected copy is saved.
The tool uses pdf.js (Mozilla's PDF renderer) to open the encrypted file with the password you provide. If the password is correct, pdf-lib reads the decrypted content and saves a new PDF without any encryption. The original file is not modified.
