Fictitious Company Generator

Generate a fictitious Brazilian company with trade name, CNPJ, state registration and address — for software testing.

For software testing only. The data generated here is random and does not belong to any real person or company. Using it for fraud or in bad faith is a crime.

How to use

  1. Click "Generate" to create a fictitious company with trade name, CNPJ, state registration, activity and address.
  2. Each click produces a new company. The CNPJ passes the check-digit validation used by invoicing systems.
  3. Copy the result. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is sent or stored.

About this tool

Testing an invoicing system, an ERP integration or a supplier registration form requires company data that passes validation. The CNPJ needs correct check digits or the system rejects it before you reach the field you wanted to test. The state registration needs to look plausible. The trade name and address need to fill the layout correctly. This generator produces all of that in one click, using the same modulo-11 algorithm the Receita Federal applies to CNPJs.

The trade name is assembled from common Brazilian surnames and business activities — the kind of name that appears on thousands of real companies without belonging to any specific one. The CNPJ is random with valid check digits, always using branch 0001 (headquarters). The state registration is a plausible 12-digit number. The address uses a real city with its state code. None of it is looked up in any registry and none of it belongs to any real entity.

Everything runs locally in your browser. The data is for software testing only. Using generated company documents to issue invoices, open accounts or conduct any real business transaction is fraud.

Frequently asked questions

Is the CNPJ registered?

No. It passes the math but is not in any government registry.

Does the data leave my browser?

No. Generation is 100% local.

Can I use it to issue invoices?

No. Using fictitious company data in real transactions is fraud.

Why is the branch always 0001?

Because 0001 identifies the headquarters, which is what most test scenarios need.

What is the state registration for?

The IE (Inscrição Estadual) identifies the company at the state tax authority. It is required on invoices in most states. The number generated here is plausible but fictitious.
