About this tool

Terms of use are the contract between a website and its users: they set the rules of the service, limit the operator's liability, protect intellectual property and establish the jurisdiction for disputes. Most websites need them, and most website owners have no idea what they should say. A missing liability limitation means unlimited exposure; a missing intellectual property clause means no legal basis to act when someone scrapes your content; a missing jurisdiction clause means disputes are filed wherever the user happens to be. This generator fills in the structure so you have a complete draft to discuss with your lawyer.

The template adapts to four types of service — a simple website or blog, a SaaS application, an e-commerce store and a marketplace — and adds or removes sections depending on what you check: user accounts bring an account responsibility clause, paid features bring a payment and subscription clause, and user-generated content brings a content license clause. The sections that appear in every variation are acceptance, service description, intellectual property, prohibited conduct, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, changes to terms and contact information.

Everything runs in your browser. The company name, URL and e-mail are not uploaded or stored. The output is a starting point: it does not cover every legal scenario, it does not address specific industries or jurisdictions outside Brazil, and it cannot replace a lawyer's judgment. The disclaimer at the bottom of the generated text says exactly that.
