Frequently asked questions

What formats are supported?

Any image format the browser can display: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG. The format is auto-detected from the Base64 data.

Do I need the data:image prefix?

No. You can paste just the raw Base64 string and the tool will auto-detect the format. Adding the prefix works too.

Is there a size limit?

The limit is your browser memory. In practice, Base64 strings up to ~10 MB decode without issues.
