فاجاب اخيش وقال لداود علمت انك صالح في عينيّ كملاك الله. الا ان رؤساء الفلسطينيين قالوا لا يصعد معنا الى الحرب.

Achis antwortete und sprach zu David: Ich weiß wohl, daß du meinen Augen gefällst wie ein Engel Gottes; aber der Philister Fürsten haben gesagt: Laß ihn nicht mit uns in den Streit hinaufziehen!
Achis gab David zur Antwort: Ich weiß, daß du mir so lieb bist wie ein Engel Gottes; nur verlangen die Fürsten der Philister: Er darf nicht mit uns in die Schlacht ziehen!
Και απεκριθη ο Αγχους και ειπε προς τον Δαβιδ, Εξευρω οτι εισαι αρεστος εις τους οφθαλμους μου, ως αγγελος Θεου· πλην οι σατραπαι των Φιλισταιων ειπον, Δεν θελει αναβη μεθ' ημων εις την μαχην·
Και απεκρίθη ο Αγχούς και είπε προς τον Δαβίδ, Εξεύρω ότι είσαι αρεστός εις τους οφθαλμούς μου, ως άγγελος Θεού· πλην οι σατράπαι των Φιλισταίων είπον, Δεν θέλει αναβή μεθ' ημών εις την μάχην·
And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
And Achish in answer said, It is true that in my eyes you are good, like an angel of God: but still, the rulers of the Philistines have said, He is not to go up with us to the fight.
And in response, Achish said to David: “I know that you are good in my sight, like an angel of God. But the leaders of the Philistines have said: ‘He shall not go up with us to the battle.’
And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art acceptable to me, as an angel ofGod; nevertheless the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.

Lalu Akhis menjawab Daud: "Aku tahu, engkau ini memang kusukai seperti utusan Allah. Hanya, para panglima orang Filistin telah berkata: Ia tidak boleh pergi berperang bersama-sama dengan kita."
